Introduction
It will show the disassembly steps needed to remove and replace a laptop screen if it is broken or cracked without having to replace the entire laptop, saving money for the user.
What you need
Step 1
Battery
- Prior to removing the base plate, the battery must be removed.
- Press the two tabs on the back of the laptop inward to release the battery.
- Pull the battery straight out slowly and firmly.

Display Assembly
- Insert a plastic spudger into the groove around the laptop screen and gently loosen the plastic bezel away from the display.
- Use the plastic spudger and loosen the display away from the back of the screen.
- Continue to use the spudger to detach the small plastic detents holding the screen in place.
- Disconnect the display cable and remove the screen.
