Introduction

This device comes with 8 GB of RAM with additional space for another RAM card if you choose to upgrade.

When you are working with or around any electrical components it is recommended that you take care to ground yourself so that you do not electrically shock any components and ruin them. You can ground yourself using an anti-static wrist strap.

What you need

Step 1

              Back Panel               
  • Remove the three 5.7 JIS #1 screws from the bottom of the laptop.
  • Remove the two 6.7mm JIS #1 screws from underneath the feet of the laptop close to the exhaust vent.

  • Unclip the back plate using a plastic opening tool.

  • Carefully remove the back plate from the laptop.

              RAM Card               
  • Use the hook end of the Halberd spudger to pull back the clamps holding the card in place.
  • Take care when pulling the second clamp as the card has a tendency to jump out.

Step 5

  • Remove the card by pulling it up and away from the slot.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Make sure that that the card is fully inserted otherwise your computer may not work and the card may be damaged. If the card is not seated properly it may come out of its slot and hit other components inside the laptop when it is moved around.
