The tablet device does not turn on and none of its systems are operational when the power button is pushed.

Your battery may not be charged. To check that this is the issue, remove the plug from the battery port on your Omni 10 tablet and remove the plug from the wall outlet. After waiting about ten minutes, plug the charger back into the tablet and the wall outlet.

When the tablet is rotated from portrait to landscape the screen orientation does not rotate with it.

From the desktop, right-click by holding your finger on the screen. A dialogue box will appear, click the “screen resolution” option. A window will appear titled “Change the Appearance of Your Display.” At the bottom of the window, there will be a checkbox labeled “Allow the screen to auto-rotate." Check the box, then click “Apply,” then click “OK.”

When a video or audio clip is running, the device produces no sound.

Go to control panel and click speakers. Select “Hardware and Sound.” Select “Adjust System Volume.” Check to see if the slide bar is muted or at zero. If so, drag the slider upwards.

Your external speakers may be faulty. To check this, plug in a pair of headphones or an external speaker. If the headphones or speaker produce sound, then the internal speakers are faulty.

When the power button is pressed, the tablet does not exit hibernation mode.

Click the search bar and type “Device Manager,” then press enter. A window will open, scroll to the section labeled “Keyboard.” Click the arrow next to it and click “Standard PS/2 Keyboard.” Click the tab labeled “Power Management” and check the box labeled “Allow this device to wake the computer.” Click OK.

Renew the IP address to establish a connection to a network.

When the tablet is on, swipe your finger from the right side of the screen to the center of the screen to bring up the Charms menu. Press the search icon and type “cmd” to bring up the Command Prompt. In the Command Prompt, type in “ipconfig.” You will see a list of commands associated with configuring your IP address. Type “ipconfig/release” to release any connections you already have. Wait 30 minutes, and then type in “ipconfig/renew." This will allow your tablet to refresh its IP connection and successfully connect to an available network.
