- There are 12 phillips head screws which need to be unscrewed before removing the backplate of the laptop.

- Next, use a size PH1 Philips head screw driver to remove the screws.

- Then, use a prying tool to help uncouple the backplate.

- Finally, use both hands to lift up and take off the back plate of the computer.

              CPU Fan               
- The fan is located here. You will need to remove three screws in order to lift the fan out from the motherboard.
- You will need a Phillips 00 size screwdriver to remove the screws.

- Use your screwdriver to remove the three screws connecting the fan to the motherboard.

- Grab the fan with your hand, and lift up and away from the motherboard.

- Grab the fan power connector by the wires and pull directly away from port until the cable is disconnected.
