- Orient your laptop so that the casing is laying on the table and the key board is facing you in the air.
- If your screen is cracked, use a brush to remove excess glass shards.

Step 2
- In this step, you will melt the adhesive around the outside of the screen.
- Microwave the iOpener Device for 30 seconds. For more instructions on how to properly use the iOpener, please read through our iOpener instructions.
- Lay the clear side of the iOpener down on the outer edge of the screen to melt the adhesive.
- Make sure to wait two minutes before microwaving the iOpener again so as to prevent it from bursting.

Step 3
- Use the iFixit Opening Tool to pry open the screen.
- Use the iFixit Opening Picks to scrape off the excess glue.
- Make sure to keep something large wedged between the screen and the cover case to prevent pinching your fingers.

Step 4
- Disconnect the power wire.
- The power wire is the smaller, black wire in the middle of the screen.
- Disconnect the display wire.
- The display wire is the wider cable on the left.
- Remove the screen from the device.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
