- In the center of the laptop slide the black piece back till it turns red indicating it is unlocked and the battery can be removed.

- Remove the 2 Phillips head screws that attach the cover on the left.

- Remove the 4 Phillips screws holding the hard drive in place
- Remove by gently prying and pulling up on the tab and out.

- Remove the 3 Phillips head screws holding the back plate in.
- Gently pull up and out to remove plate.

- Remove all eighteen screws marked M2x3 and M2x5.
- Remove the remaining four Phillips head screws.

- Slowly pry and lift the frame up while checking for connected wires and ribbons that may be obstructing it.

- Detach ribbon wires by gently lifting the grey flap and pulling them out.
- Do not pull hard on the wires.
- Push the track pad from the bottom and it should come right out.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
