Introduction

Keep in mind that your device should be turned off and disconnected from the power adapter.

Usually, a Hard Drive needs to be replaced when the computer won’t boot. However, check out our troubleshooting page to see if your issue falls into a different category.

Please follow instructions as they appear.

What you need

Step 1

              Battery               
  • Make sure your device is powered off and disconnected from the power adapter.
  • Slide the lock all the way to the left. The battery should pop up.

Step 2

  • Pull the battery out.

              Back Panel               
  • Slide the lock all the way to the right and remove the M2.5x8mm screw with a Philips #0 screwdriver.
  • Make sure your device is turned off and your battery is removed.

Step 4

  • Slide the panel towards you and lift it up to open and access the back of the computer.

              Hard Drive               
  • Make sure your device is powered off and its battery removed.
  • Remove the four M2.5x8mm screws with Phillips #0 screwdriver and lift up the panel to access your Hard Drive.

Step 6

  • Remove the M2.5x8mm screw with Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  • Slide the hard drive to the left and lift it to remove it.

Slide the hard drive to the left and lift it to remove it.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
