Step 1

              Remove the bottom cover               
  • To remove the laptops bottom cover ten phillips head screws will need to be loosened but not removed from the bottom cover. These screws will remain in place when removing the bottom cover.

  • An opening tool will be need to seperate the bottom cover from the main chassie.

Step 3

              Remove Laptop Battery               
  • Six Hex? head screws hold the battery in place. Remove screws and battery.

Step 4

              Remove Keyboard               
  • There are three phillips head screws that keep the keyboard attached to the laptop. Screws holes will be marked with a KB to signify which to remove.
  • A hole next to the heat sink fan will be marked with a picture of a keyboard. Using tweezers, push the keyboard loose until the ribbon cables are exposed.
  • Disconnect ribbon cables for keyboard, backlight, and, finger mouse?
  • Not all models come with backlight and finger mouse? options.
