What you need

Step 1

              Identify the screws               

• Identify the screws.

              Unscrew the screws               

• Unscrew the screws.
• Screws are attached to the back panel.

Step 3

              Separate back cover from the PC               

• Use your fingernail or the iFixit Opening Tool.
• Start on the far side when prying apart.
• Open the computer.
• The display should face the table.
• Separate gently the back cover from the front panel (keyboard panel).

Start on the far side when prying apart.

Open the computer.

The display should face the table.

Separate gently the back cover from the front panel (keyboard panel).

Step 4

              Open back and front cover               

• Open each side gently (keyboard panel is facing up, the back cover is facing down).
• Store the back cover.

Open each side gently (keyboard panel is facing up, the back cover is facing down).

Store the back cover.

Step 5

              End result               

• You now have access to the mainboard.

You now have access to the mainboard.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
