Introduction

Replacing the keyboard requires you to remove many components. Be sure to keep track of all supplies!

Step 1

  • Remove the battery from the laptop.

  • Move the switch in the battery compartment.

  • Carefully flip up the keyboard panel.
  • Don’t pull far on the keyboard. It will still be connected to the laptop via ribbon cables.

Step 4

  • Lift the retaining flap on the keyboard cable ZIF connector.
  • Carefully pull the ribbon cable from its socket on the motherboard.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

First you need to unscrew 2 screws under the HDD cover
