  • Begin by flipping the laptop over to its backside.
  • Remove all 13 Phillips #00 screws (5.7 mm in length).
  • You must remove four rubber feet to remove the top corner screws.

Step 2

  • Turn the laptop over and open it to face you.
  • Insert a prying tool between the keyboard and bottom cover, and slide the prying tool in a counter-clockwise direction to separate the casing.

  • Once detached, carefully lift the keyboard upwards.
  • Disconnect the two ribbon cables attached to the motherboard.

  • Lift the black ZIF tab and disconnect the daughterboard ribbon cable.
  • Use a nylon spudger or tweezers to disconnect the cable connecting the battery and the motherboard by sliding it out in the downward direction.
  • Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard.

Step 5

  • Once all connections have been removed, begin unscrewing all nine screws from the battery.
  • Lift the battery carefully and put aside.

  • Lift the adhesive tape.
  • Once the tape has been lifted, both left and right speakers can be removed.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
