  • You will need to repeat this step for the second brake pad located on the other side of the wheel.

  • Remove the brake pads from the calipers.

  • Clean the surface of the brake pad with a cloth or water if necessary.
  • The surface of the rims where the brake pads make contact may also need to be cleaned.

  • Reattach the brake pads to the calipers and tighten them with the 10mm wrench so that the leading edge of the brake sits closer to the rim than the rear edge.

  • Check the brake cable and make sure that it is still connected and secured to the brake calipers.
