Introduction

An invisible stitch is a hidden stitch for sewing the edges in a torn fabric. This technique can be used on most materials but this guide will be focusing on jeans. Sewing an invisible stitch is quite easy to do and does not need any special skills. The stitch is almost fully invisible and creates a professional looking finished stitch to the jeans. To successfully create an invisible stitch, follow the instructions below.

  • Insert the thread through the needle and knot the end of the thread.
  • Caution: Handle the needle with care to avoid any injuries.

  • Insert the needle from the inside of the jeans to hide the knot of the thread.

  • Insert the needle to the opposite side of the tear creating a horizontal line with the thread.

  • This creates another horizontal line with the thread over the tear.
