Introduction
Before using this guide, check to see if the base is screwed onto the frame of the bench. If this is the case, you will need a screwdriver to remove the screws. This guide demonstrates a bench base that is not screwed onto the frame.
Also, if working outdoors, lay a layer of protection on the ground to keep the new fabric from getting dirty. I used an 8ft x 8ft sheet of material.
Step 6 requires stapling the fabric onto the base with a staple gun. Step 5 shows how to remove the lock and how to insert new staples.
Before starting the guide, make sure to gather your tools and materials beforehand, as your bench may be different and need additional tools.

- Lift the staples with the flathead screwdriver before going in with the pliers.

- Use a pair of pliers to grip the staples.
- Twist and pull the staples to remove them from the bench.

- Place clean material down so the new fabric does not get dirty.
- Place the fabric with the design face down on top of the clean sheet.
- Then place the cushion, then the base face down.

- Keep the safety lock closed when not using the staple gun.
- When ready to use the staple gun, pull the safety lock down.

- Pull the fabric taut and staple every 4 inches.

- Fold the corners of the fabric inward then on top.
- Staple the fabric down twice for each corner.
- Cut the excess fabric along the shorter sides of the base length.
- Place the base back onto the frame.
- If any screws were removed, screw them back on.
