In early versions of Windows, you can use the shortcut key Alt+Enter to switch between fullscreen and window mode version of the Windows command line.
This system does not support fullscreen mode
When attempting to enter fullscreen mode in Windows Vista, you will receive an error message similar to that shown on the picture. As mentioned above, Windows Vista and later no longer support fullscreen mode.
New versions of Windows (Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 10) no longer support Alt+Enter keyboard shortcut for a true fullscreen experience. However, pressing the maximize button makes the window the full height of the screen. You can also resize the window using the sizing handle in the bottom right corner of the window.
If you want to adjust the width and height values manually, you can right-click the Title bar and click Properties. In the Properties window, click the Layout tab. By adjusting these values, you can make a window that occupies almost all of the screen in all versions of Windows.
