Introduction

This is a repair guide showing you how to repair the broken or ineffective power button flex cable of your Samsung J5 (2016). If the power button flex has a poor contact with your phone, failure will occur when you power on or restart your phone. And there will be screen lock/unlock failure.

What you need

Step1 Open the back cover;

Step2 Remove battery and back frame;

Step3 Remove the motherboard;

Step4 Take away the broken power button flex;

Step5 Install new power button flex;

Step6 Install the motherboard;

Step7 Test the new power button flex;

Step8 Install the back cover.
