  • Apply a thin layer of rubber cement between the peeled veneer and plywood.
  • Press the veneer down from the center in an outwards motion to adhere the veneer to the plywood.
  • Be careful not to get any rubber cement on your hands.

  • Place your brace over the damaged area and keep pressure on it.

  • Maintaining pressure on the brace, apply the first clamp around the pieces.
  • Make sure the clamp is holding the brace flush, then tighten it into place.
  • Add as many clamps as necessary to keep the brace flush.

  • Once all clamps are secured, refer to the rubber cement label to determine the approximate drying time.
  • While most rubber cement will dry within 2-3 minutes, it’s a safe bet to leave the clamps secured overnight.
