Step 1

              How to Repair Double Vision on Barska 10x50 Wide-Angle Binoculars               
  • Remove the main J0 head screw in the center of the binoculars, using the driver with the 4 mm bit and J0 attachment.

  • Remove the top piece and the washers held under the middle screw.

  • Pull the eyepieces off the binoculars.

  • Remove the two side J0 head screws.

  • Remove the four J0 head eyepiece screws.

  • Remove the two eyepiece plates.

  • Pry apart the rear rubber covering on each side to expose the two back prism adjustment screws.

Step 8

  • Adjust the two 1.5 mm flat head prism screws by slightly turning the driver.
  • Note: Look through the binoculars after each turn, and if the vision is aligned, you can stop at this step. If adjusting these screws does not align the vision, proceed to Step 9.
  • DO NOT tighten the prism screws too much, or you will crack the prism and permanently destroy it. Repairing or replacing the prism is beyond the scope of this guide.

Adjust the two 1.5 mm flat head prism screws by slightly turning the driver.

Note: Look through the binoculars after each turn, and if the vision is aligned, you can stop at this step. If adjusting these screws does not align the vision, proceed to Step 9.

DO NOT tighten the prism screws too much, or you will crack the prism and permanently destroy it. Repairing or replacing the prism is beyond the scope of this guide.

Step 9

  • Unscrew the two front objective lenses by hand.

  • Unscrew the two J0 head front screws.

  • Remove the two front plates.

  • Peel back the front rubber coverings on both sides.

Step 13

  • Adjust the two front 1.5 mm flat head prism screws with small turns.
  • Look through the binoculars after each adjustment to see if it is aligning the vision, and repeat the adjustments until it is repaired.
  • You may need to return to Step 8 to fine-tune the other set of screws. All four prism adjustment screws must be in their correct positions to produce the correct view through the binoculars.
