              Check for a new charger               
  • Your cable could be bad, try a new one, possibly MFI certified ! (Made For iPhone) Or try a known-good one.
  • Try a new charging brick, or a known-good one that delivers at least 5V-1A

Step 2

              Checking the charging port               
  • Check your charging port, it could be really dirty or obstructed
  • If it looks dirty, you can take the risk to insert a thin tool and try to pry out the dirt. I am not responsible for the harm you could do to your phone !

              Try known-good internals               
  • Try a known-good battery. Replace it if your phone charges again.
  • Try a known-good Lightning charging port. Replace it if your phone charges again.

              Now some real challenge               
  • If you are still reading, bad news, you probably have a motheboard problem !
  • It’s probably U4500, or Tristar that’s causing it, it fails very frequently on iPhones. You’ll have to replace it.
