  • Pick one of the loose strands and tie the yarn to this strand.
  • Make three knots to ensure the knot will not come undone.

  • Begin your first stitch by pushing the crochet hook through the stitch closest to the tied on yarn.
  • Next, wrap the yarn in front of the hook and pull it through the stitch making sure the hook catches the yarn.

  • Continuing on your first stitch, wrap the yarn in front of the hook and pull it in the direction of the arrow through the loop wrapped around the crochet hook.
  • Move on to the next stitch where the orange arrow is pointing. Continue making stitches around the hole until there is a small opening.
