- Fold the edges of the fabric over to make a clean edge and hide any fraying.
- Crease the fold with your fingers.

- Cut the upholstery thread to a length appropriate for the size of your rip.
- The thread should match the color of the fabric as closely as possible.
- Thread the needle and tie a double knot at the end.

- Hold the two edges of the rip together
- Begin sewing ¾ of an inch from where the rip begins.

Have you seen this product? “fixmytear”. It’s a repair tape which sticks very well to vinyl, canvas, rubber, leather and most other surfaces. Absolutely life saving tape.
