Introduction

The car must be powering the KDC-BT565U before resetting. Turn the key in the ignition until the KDC-BT565U display turns on, then begin the guide.

What you need

  • Press the eject button on the bottom left corner of the face plate.

  • Begin by slightly lifting the face plate out from the side located by the release button.
  • Slide towards the side of the eject button, then completely lift out.

              How to Perform a Hard Reset               
  • You will now have the face plate and the main component that includes the CD drive. Put the face plate aside and locate the small circle button labelled “Reset” on the main component.
  • Make sure the car power is on.
  • Press and hold the reset button with a pointed edge tool for 5 seconds.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
