  • Grab a pot large enough to place the LEGO baseplate in.
  • Fill the pot full of tap water, enough to submerge the baseplate completely.

Step 2

  • Place the pot of water on a stove.
  • Turn the stove burner on to medium heat.
  • Heat the water to approximately 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a thermometer to ensure proper heat.
  • Do not heat water near or above a temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit to avoid damaging/melting the plastic.

  • Place the LEGO baseplate in the pot of heated water for 5-7 minutes.
  • Ensure that the LEGO baseplate is fully submerged for the entire heating duration.

Step 4

  • Turn the stove off and remove the baseplate from the water.
  • Dry the LEGO baseplate using a paper towel.

  • Quickly sandwich the baseplate between two flat baking pans while the baseplate is still warm.
  • You can use any two flat, sturdy objects if baking pans are unavailable.

  • Place two plastic clamps over the two pans to evenly apply firm pressure against the baseplate.
  • If clamps are unavailable, you can use weights to apply similar pressure.
  • Leave the LEGO baseplate in between the pressure of the baking pans for at least 5 hours.
