First, verify there is a CD icon in File Manager. If this icon is missing, your CD-ROM is not working properly and you may have an issue with the drive.
From Program Manager, go into Accessories and then Media Player Devices and ensure that CD Audio is shown on the list. If it is not listed on the list, edit MPLAYER.INI, and make the changes below.
[Options] SysIni=-27057 DisplayPosition=0,0,400,120 CDAudio=62 [Devices] Sequencer=286, MIDI Sequencer WaveAudio=350, Sound CDAudio=2553, CD Audio
Then, make sure the [MCI] CD Audio driver is loaded in main Control Panel drivers. If not, add it and watch for a message saying a CD-ROM drive was detected. Test and verify it is working correctly.
