Introduction

Before beginning, make sure that the lamp is not connected to an electrical source .

  • Unplug the lamp from the electrical socket.
  • Ensure that there is no electrical charge in the lamp by turning the lamp on and off.

  • Turn the lamp shade knob in a counterclockwise direction to remove it.
  • Lift the lampshade to remove it.

  • Turn the light bulb in a counterclockwise direction to remove it.

Step 4

  • Lift the tabs up from the base.
  • Squeeze the lamp shade posts inward to release them.

Step 5

  • Place the flat side of the screwdriver against the flat side of the nut inside of the base.

Step 6

  • While placing pressure against the nut, grip the light socket and turn it in a clockwise direction until it is tight against the base.
