  • Proceed to push the resin and sealant out into a container to mix.
  • Use latex gloves to protect your hands from the resin.

  • Begin to mix the resin and the sealant together using the toothpicks.

  • Mix in some of the fiberglass strands into the resin until the strands are fully saturated with resin.
  • Scoop up some of the resin and fiberglass mixture with the toothpick.

  • Apply the fiber glass and resin combo onto the crack and, using another toothpick, arrange the fiberglass to cover the crack.
  • Repeat until the hole has been sufficiently covered.

  • Let the resin dry.
  • The time will vary based on the resin, amount of solvent used, and weather conditions, so be sure to read the back of your resin container to estimate how long it will take to dry.

  • When you are done the final product should be covering the crack and completely airtight.
  • Check the mask to ensure that the crack is fully sealed.
  • If there is still pressure loss through the crack, apply more resin to the crack until it is sealed.
