Introduction
Before starting this fix, make sure the water faucet on the spigot being worked on is turned off. Any running or dripping water while trying to follow the below steps will result in a faulty fix.

- Once wet, apply 1 tbsp. of Bar Keepers Friend soft cleanser to the area(s) that has any built up residue.

- Brush the cleanser that is on the spigot with a wire metal brush until you notice that the residue is gone.

- Rinse the spigot off completely with water.

- Using plumbers tape, wrap around the spigot once ensuring that is it fully covered.

- Apply the connection for your garden hose securely to the spigot.
