• Apply the lubricant from different angles behind the knob.
• After applying lubricant, try to jiggle the knob loose with the help of the lubricant.

• Place the screw driver in the crevasse and apply pressure.
• Do this step on different sides of the knob to avoid breaking the knob.
• Attempt to pry the knob off with the flathead screwdriver.
