              Removing the Bottom Cover Screws               
  • Place the lens face up to locate the bottom cover.
  • Remove the two 7mm screws using a J0 screwdriver.
  • Remove the six 4.3 mm screws using a J0 screwdriver.

              Removing the Bottom Cover               
  • After the screws are removed, the bottom cover should easily pry off.

              Accessing Gears               
  • Using a J0 screwdriver, remove the 4mm screw holding the metal plate to expose the gears.

              Removing Gear Housing Plate               
  • Using a pair of tweezers, gently remove the metal plate covering the gears.
  • Part of the plate’s tab fits into a socket. Try to pivot around it when removing the plate to prevent bending the plate.
  • Be careful with the gears because some may be loose.

Step 5

              Cleaning the Gears               
  • Use tweezers to rotate gears or remove any large particles obstructing their rotation.
  • Smaller particles can be cleared using a microfiber cloth only. Other fabrics may leave residual fibers.
