The Discord chat service has a wide variety of features and customization options. One of these features is the ability to change the name of a server you created. To learn how to do so, follow the steps below.
How to change a Discord server’s name
- Open the Discord program or navigate to the Discord website.
- If you access Discord through the website, click the Open Discord button.
- On the left side of the screen, click the server you want to change.
Only the server owner, or anyone with a server role with moderator privileges can customize a server’s name and icon.
Once you’ve selected the server, click its name near the top.
Select Server Settings from the drop-down menu that appears.
On the left side of the next screen, ensure the Overview tab is selected.
In the center of the screen, under Server Overview, click inside the Server Name field, and then type the new desired server name.
After typing the new server name, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen.
Discord server names are case-sensitive, meaning the uppercase and lowercase letters in the new name appear exactly as you typed them.
