Introduction
You’ll need the fingerprint sensor calibration toolkit in order to complete this procedure.
What you need

Enter the CQATest menu
- Open the phone app.
- Open the dial screen.
- Enter ##2486## on the dial pad.
- If the CQATest menu doesn’t come up immediately, press “Call”.

Select the CQA menu mode
- If any pop-ups appear, allow them.
- Select “CQA Menu Mode” from the options.

Select the sensor option
- Select “Sensor” from the options.

Select Fingerprint Egis FOD SMTP
- Select “Fingerprint Egis Fod SMTP” from the options.

- Press “START” on the top left corner of the screen.
- You should see a menu that says “Normal Scan: ok, click NEXT” with a list of tests under it.
- If any of the tests failed, restart from the beginning of this guide.
- Press “NEXT” on the top right corner.
- Wait until the message at the top of the screen changes to “Put FLESH FLAT, click NEXT”.
Press “START” on the top left corner of the screen.
You should see a menu that says “Normal Scan: ok, click NEXT” with a list of tests under it.
If any of the tests failed, restart from the beginning of this guide.
Press “NEXT” on the top right corner.
Wait until the message at the top of the screen changes to “Put FLESH FLAT, click NEXT”.

Apply the indented pink box
- For the next two steps, make sure you’re using the pink box that has a small square indented in it and not the pink box that has grooves.
- With the indented side facing down, place the pink box over the red box on the bottom of the screen.
- Make sure the pink box covers the red box as much as possible. Deviations could result in a “Fail” result or an inaccurate calibration.

- Press down on the pink box with your thumb.
- While pressing down on the box, use your other hand to select “NEXT” on the top right of the phone.
- Continue pressing down on the box until the message at the top of the screen changes to “Put BLACK FLAT, click NEXT”.

Apply the black box
- With the indented side facing down, place the black box over the red box on the bottom of the screen.

- You will see “Calibration test: ok” if the calibration was successful.
- If you see “Calibration test: fail” at the top of the screen, restart from the beginning of this guide.

Your optical fingerprint sensor is calibrated and ready for use.
If the calibration fails for any reason, repeat the calibration procedure.
