- Pull one end of thread through the eye of the needle.
- Make the two tail ends meet.
- Tie a knot.

- Lay your blanket (or piece of fabric) in front of you and pick your stitching direction.
- We are stitching left to right!

- Measure about half an inch from the edge of your blanket and mark it.
- Send your needle through the blanket from the back from the marked point.
- When pushing your needle through the blanket make sure your fingers are not near the needle.
