  • Slowly peel the rubber cover off.

  • After completely removing the rubber cover, find a new cover and prepare both it and the device for attachment.

  • Carefully replace the old rubber with the new one, being mindful to line the cover up correctly with the outside edge of the device as well as the inner cover.

Thanks a ton for taking the time to consider this obvious, likely possibility, and actually documenting and sharing your work-around solution. It is also is handy because it reminds potential buyers that this cute and otherwise cool and super affordable speaker, while a real natural stocking stuffer, might be one of those cheapo gifts that I think a lot of us are getting sick of: fun to get, fun to use, and a downer when you throw away three weeks later. So maybe they made a bad decision on just one part, the sticky part. Customers are pretty cool about understanding that things happen when you try something new. But The fact that this article exists suggests they made a choice not to offer reasonable after purchase support, like I don’t know 10 bucks for a set of Sticky backs? Sure they’re cheap, so don’t hold it a ripoff, and theres probably a market for people who have a need for a short term hrowaway. Anyway you get the gist, and I should pay more attention to the fricking website name.
