  • Use a spudger or other prying tool to gently pry open the case, starting near the metal hinge on the rear of the case.
  • Avoid using a screwdriver or metal spudger for prying as internal components can be damaged in the process.

Step 2

  • Pry the earbud charging station with a spudger and remove it.

  • Use a Torx screwdriver to remove the six screws on the silver bracket securing the motherboard.

  • Pull the silver ring from the base of the case to reveal the motherboard.
  • Lift up and remove the motherboard from the case.

Step 5

  • Using your index finger and thumb, gently remove the battery that is attached to the back of the motherboard.
  • Desolder the two battery connections from the back of the motherboard.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
