  • Pinch the tip of the earbud in one hand while gripping the base of the earbud in the other.
  • Gently pull the tip of the earbud apart from the base.
  • These pieces should come apart without the need for tools. Do not be afraid to use a little force.

Step 2

  • Put the base of the earbud aside as it will not be needed to access the speaker.
  • Gently pull the battery out from the earbud housing to reveal the wire that connects the two.
  • Do not pull the speaker forcefully. This may pull the wire out in a manner that damages the device.

  • Desolder the board connection to separate the red wire.
  • With the connection properly severed, pull the speaker unit out of the housing fully.
