What you need

              opening the first layer               
  • Lay the tablet on a flat surface with the screen facing downward.
  • Use a guitar pick to pry up the rear most layer of the tablet, starting by the cover of the sim card.
  • Use a spudger to pry along the edges of the back layer of the tablet. Use the guitar picks to keep the edges propped open.

  • Before opening the second layer, use a screwdriver to remove all the screws along the edges.
  • The top left screw has an anti-tamper seal on it. Damage to this seal will void any warranties of the tablet.

  • Once the screws are removed, use a spudger and guitar picks to unclip the bezel.
  • Removing the battery and flexi rigid circuit board will likely cause damage. In order to disassemble further, you may also need to replace these parts.
  • To reassemble, first remove the sim card, then follow these instructions in reverse order.
  • Make sure the buttons are properly seated before snapping the first layer back on.

Once the screws are removed, use a spudger and guitar picks to unclip the bezel.
