Introduction
It may be advantageous to upgrade the hard drive to a Solid State Drive (SSD) as their advantages over a traditional hard drive include: faster load times, longer lasting and more durable, use less power, and are quieter.
Upon opening the laptop casing disconnect the battery to reduce the risk of a power overload. This guide shows how:

Hard Drive
- Remove all 15 marked screws on the underside of the laptop using a #0 screwdriver.
- There are three different sized screws.
- 1x 9.8mm Screw
- 8x 5.6mm Screws
- 6x 5.0mm Screws
- Divide the screws by size and save them in a safe space for reassembly later.

Step 2
- Carefully peel back the two pieces of black tape holding down the cord.
- Pull the marked tab straight up away from the board to disconnect the hard drive from the board.

Can you please show me how to remove the back cover on the gigabyte sabre 17 laptop?
Need to change the hdd but cannot open the back.
